It is difficult to express thoughts, thanksgiving, and worship to God when groping for words independent of how God has revealed himself.  At best, we create a god in the image of ourselves.  John’s music finds its impulse in God’s most glorious revelation - the Gospel.  The songs attempt to follow a tradition that is honest about the human condition and delights in Divine mercy, that finds hope in the Triune God who faithfully communicates to his people redemption and reconciliation through the cross.
